Travel Theme – Multiples in Croatia

This week’s post is inspired by Ailsa travel blog Where is My Backpack whose Travel Theme is: MULTIPLES, and here is our interpretation.

In order to find a holiday home in Croatia, we looked at multiple houses

Multiple houses viewings

We then went to multiple stores to look for furniture

We looked at multiple stones samples to choose the stones for our terrace.

We viewed multiple examples of pergolas in order to design one for our garden.

We visited multiple garden centres and looked around local neighbouring gardens to check which plants do best in our coastal location.

During our multiple trips for Our Adventure in Croatia, we’ve used multiple hire-cars.

And we are going to have multiple hammocks hanging in our garden, we’ve got 7 so far…. go forth and multiply….

  1. I’d love a pergola in our garden – could sit there at my laptop for hours

  2. We enjoy Spain and Portugal for outside the hotel entertainment walking around the resort, markets, the usual holiday stuff, we don’t use the beach :(

Is Croatia a holiday place like Spain and Portugal or is it getting like it.

    • hello Harry and thank you for stopping by. We don’t think Croatia is getting like Spain or Portugal, it is still keeping its uniqueness. There are no “british bars” or “fish-chips and English breakfast cafe’s” . And we prefer it this way. Visitors to Croatia come mainly from Germany, Poland, Austria, Italy and – last but not least – Britain and Ireland. A very mixed bunch. Most people rent a property for a week or more, as a self-catering basis, there are properies for every budget, from rooms and studios, to more modern refurbished apartments, or villas like our Villa BellaVista with pool. There are also hotels and b&b, but no all-inclusive hotel/resorts which would provide all your entertainment etc like you may find in other countries. There is a lot of culture to explore, Unesco World heritage sites, and beautiful coastline and islands to explore.
