Transportation is an integral part of travel and whatever mode of transport you choose will affect your experience of the journey.
This week’s Travel Theme by fellow blogger Ailsa @ Where’s my backpack is: Transportation
Here are our observations of Transportation in Croatia

Trogir from the air.
Thousands of tourists arrive in Croatia by plane
and this could be their first glimpse of the country.

many tourists travel to Croatia by caravan (especially from Italy and Germany), and some also carry their own bikes

wealthy travellers arrive in their own sailing yachts, and can dock in beautiful harbours and UNESCO World Heritage sites like Trogir

if you are rich enough and love your bling, show off your luxury speedboat

Gulet cruise is another way to travel around the Croatian islands

you can take shelter in one of the many well-protected marinas which are spread out along the Croatian coastline. Many marinas are situated close to historic towns starting from the north in Istria, all along Dalmatia, down to the far south in Marina Dubrovnik

on land, renting a scooter is the best way to get around the Croatian islands and feel the breeze in your hair

some people come to Croatia all the way from London in a black cab….
that cabbie must have talked a lot during the journey…
probably his best ever fare!

Hrvatska je baš prekrasna i baš je lijepo opisujete!
ni govorim Hrvatski, govorite li Engleski? (my favourite sentence which I say ALL THE TIME!!)
puno hvala!

I have a soft spot for the black cab- I threaten my kids with buying one so that we can slide the glass window closed and get some peace and quite on the mototrway! Congratulations on the silver medal, it’s well deserved! Good on you!!!
hi MM, thanks for the congrats! there aren’t that many Croatian blogs, so didn’t have all that big competition…
I think your kids will soon be asking you to be their “private taxi” to take them to friends and parties etc and pick them up afterwards…so how appropriate to have a black cab and why not start charging them??
Love all the boats and I especially loved the London cab! Great post.
thanks Diane for your comment… Merry Christmas
hmmmmm. Need to plan a trip here! Most informative post. Thank you! Merry Christmas to you & your hubby!
hey Cindy, thanks for stopping by tonight…. just don’t get into a black cab from London, expensive
Merry Christmas to you too… blog you next year
the luxury speed boat doesn’t look like a bad way to get around

and congratulations on the award! you deserve it! and thank-you for your kind words
Merry Christmas!
hey Daisy and the Fox…. thanks for stopping by, and yes there are very many luxury speedboats and yachts docking in marinas all over the Croatian coastline. Lots of rich people sailing the Med…
